Plan Z Diet
When the weight gradually creeps back on after having a successful Plan Z Diet ZReduction and Plan Z Diet ZReboot, I ask people if they understand why it happened.
Invariably, they will say they got off track and started eating the things that made them fat.
- A Christmas cookie
- A few slices of pizza with the crust
- Popcorn on a Sunday afternoon
- Hash browns and toast with their cheese omelet
And all of a sudden . . .
BAM!
They’re back on the carbohydrate train and experiencing dramatic weight gain. Then I’ll ask, Did you watch Gary Taubes’ lecture: Adiposity 101: Why We Get Fat?
“No, I didn’t have time. It was 70-minutes long.”
“But you have time to do another 50-day Plan Z Diet ZReduction to take off the weight you put back on?”
“I didn’t think the lecture was that important. I was losing weight just reading the manual and using the recipes from the website,” one dieter told me.
“At least 60% of the value of the Plan Z Diet by Zola comes from the education you receive (re-education really). The Plan Z Diet works on your body and your brain. If you don’t get your mind right, you will be tempted to go back to your old diet. Did you watch Robert Lustig’s lecture: Sugar the Bitter Truth?
“No, I didn’t get to that, either.”
“How about the exposé on aspartame?
“Was that important?”
“Yep.”
Look, it’s easy to lose weight on The Plan Z Diet by Zola. It’s really easy to keep it off when you know what makes you gain weight.
It’s also easy to put it all back on.
Tom Naughton’s heartfelt blog looks at the difference between character and chemistry. You may be able to relate to his story of decades of diet frustration. Every morning when I get up, I check my Chase balance, enter my weight in Fit Day and check to see if Tom has posted something new. Reading about the low carb lifestyle and feeling like I’m part of a movement helps a lot.
What’s your routine?
As VP of Anger Management at the Plan Z Diet and a successful Plan Z dieter, I can report that I’ve kept off the 42-pounds I lost doing the Plan Z Diet for 4 years. At age 63, I am easily maintaining the weight I had as a senior in college.
But I couldn’t do it without the re-education.
When I want a dessert, I whip up the Plan Z Diet Raspberry Ice Cream with frozen raspberries, a couple of tablespoons of heavy whipping cream, a capful of vanilla extract and a touch of Stevia. It’s amazing.
